Explore a published model
A published OnyxJar model gives readers an interactive, read-only way to understand the connections in a model. The graph is the visual starting point; the details and relationships behind each item provide the context.
Start with the graph
The graph shows objects and the relationships between them. Select an object or relationship to focus on it. The published view highlights the selected item and its nearby connections while making less relevant parts of the graph less prominent.
Use the graph to get an overview, then inspect individual items when you need more detail. The graph is a view of the underlying model, not a separate source of data.
Find items with Explore
Open the Explore panel to find objects and narrow what is visible. Depending on the published view, controls include:
- Search for an item by text.
- Filter the view by object type or relationship type.
- See counts for the available types and use filters to focus on a subset of the model.
- Fit the graph to the available view or reset the view when you want to regain your bearings.
Active filters can hide parts of the graph from the current view. If an item appears to be missing, check whether search terms or filters are restricting what is shown.
Inspect details and connections
Select an item and open the Details panel to see the information available for it. For an object, this can include its attributes and its relationships to other objects. Connections may be grouped by direction or relationship type to make them easier to interpret.
Follow a listed connection or select a related item to continue exploring the model. If additional connections are available but not currently shown, use the controls in the details panel to expand them where supported.
Understand the limitations
Published models are read-only. You can explore the available information, but you cannot use the published view to change the source model. The information shown also reflects the snapshot that was published; it may not include model changes made afterward.
If the content looks out of date, ask the model owner for an updated publication. See Refresh a published output after model changes.
Open a portable output
The same exploration approach applies when you open a portable published HTML file. Portable output is designed to be shared and opened independently, including when you are offline. For more, see Use a portable published output.
